PROJECT’S OBJECTIVE
The general project’s objective is the realization of innovative functional products that come from a local and representative product of the Sicilian’s agriculture. The business involved in the project wants to bind innovation and tradition in three products: gluten-free snacks, bread and flour, transforming them in functional-nutraceutical food without even changing the sensorial properties. The project develops in seven phases, integrated and coherent among them, that initiate from the selection of raw materials, till the technical and economical validation of the innovative product that has been made.
The research SIPROFF project has the participation of different research sites:

The project has been approved for a sum total of € 2.391.853,20 with a total contribution equal to € 2.015.842,48 financed by the interventions within the scope of action 1.1.1 of POC Sicilia 2014_2020 qualified investments for the development and improving of research and innovative skills – Completion ranking Action 1.1.5 of PO FESR 2014/2020.
